What I Have Been Up To The Past Week

I have been so bad at finding time to blog. I have spent a great majority of the week editing photos for this great couple whose wedding I shot last week. After hitting the under 300 photos left to edit mark I let Jason talk me into taking a two day break. I shot James and Danice's engagement session back in March and thought they were such an adorable couple. I have known Danice for a LONG time, we went to brownies together, and I graduated with her sister. And if that wasn't a cool enough reason to have them pick me to share their day Peyton and their daughter were born 4 days apart!

The wedding was so beautiful I had so much fun taking photos of all the little details, besides the ceremony I love seeing all the little personal touches to a wedding!

Not going to lie, I got a little thrilled to see one of the photos I shot being used for the guest signing!

I used a gaussian blur filter on this photo, I love how it helps a photo look so dreamy!

Instagram Pic's

So instead of doing a flashback Friday (nothing to exciting happened this week) I thought I would share some of my favorite instagram photos. I have become OBSESSED with my instagram app. I love doing these fun little edits with my iphone pics that might otherwise have just been boring photos. What are some of your favorite photo app's? Or do you use instagram and have a favorite filter?

Sunday Scene With Peyton's Bestie

Peyton and I spent the afternoon at a girls afternoon in at Leah's house. It was an impormtu Stella and Dot party and playdate for the little girls. It was so fun seeing Peyton play with the other girls. She had a big smile on her face the second she saw Leah's little girl wake up from her nap. We have three playdates this week can't wait to see her interact some more with the othere little babies!

Can you guess who is who?

Yum! Thanks Leah for the lunch!

Beyond Squirmy

Ok, it can't just be me. Is anyone else's baby becoming incredibly SQUIRMY?! As in I may have to stop changing her on the changing table?

During the last few weeks, it has been nearly impossible for one person to change Peyton's diaper on the changing table. She is waaay too interested in what's behind her, above her, and next to her to stay still. And if Jason is changing her instead of me its much worse, she is always looking and moving to find me. She flips over in about two seconds, and when I finally get her on her back again to take off or put on a diaper, she does a quick flip flop back to her belly. This is especially dangerous when she has the "stinky" diapers. What a mess! I would be lying if I said she has never kicked her feet in her own poop.
I have tried to distract her with toys or funny faces...she's too smart for that. She gives me a look like, "Nice try!" and flips herself over. Is it really possible that a 10 month old can give a sly grin and "Gotcha!" eyes this early on? Yes, it is possible.

And it's not just on the changing table. When I hold her, she literally climbs up me and kicks and flops all over. But if I let her go with it and let her squirm next to me she crys for me to pick her up again.

Anytime someone outside of me or Jason hangs with Peyton, they all say the same thing, "Good luck...she's gonna keep you on your toes!" The doctor even said something simiular to this moments after she was born, because unlike most newborns, she was WIDE AWAKE and extremely nosy. I even think I caught her giving one of the nurse's a dirty look. She deserved it though, she wasn't the nicest of nurses...

On the bright side, she is definitely an active and independent baby...always laughing and very curious. I'm hoping she will stay this way and live her life with the same enthusiasm and curiosity she has at 10 months-it will certainly keep us young!

Ready to go!

Stopping to Smell the Flowers

While Ethan has been at preschool these past few weeks I have been, finding creative things to do with Peyton. Last week we walked around our town looking to see how many different kinds of flowers we could find. I also wanted to test out my Iphone's camera and judge wheather or not it would be good enough to use as an everyday camera, or if I really do need to go shopping for a new point and click.

Love flowers with rain drops? Maybe some votes will help bring out the sun a little more often!
