All I Want For Christmas Is Inspiration

Since Peyton was born I have been to tired to really go out a lot, so to have some time to myself I have dug out my library card and found that the library carries some great fashion books. They are great sources of inspiriation not only do they show great designs but they also have some images of great art work. So I thought I would share a few that were my favorites and have made their way on my christmas/birthday wish list!

Baby Shower

Today I took Peyton to a baby shower for my friend Nicole. In my mind I planned the day a lot different from how it actually happened. It was my first girls day with Peyton so I envisioned the day being perfect, with lots of giggles and coos and possibly sneak my little girl a crum of cake. Peyton had a different agenda today, her idea of fun was to be cranky all day and wanted nothing to do with the festivites that were happening. We did still manage to have an ok time despite our many walks to outside in the rain.

Not wanting to do anything but cry.

The pretty Mama to be.

Practice baby, everytime someone said baby needs you, the Mama to be had to pick up baby and pretend to change or feed the baby.

Not to sure about the baby when she cries.

Pumpkin Garden

Today we went to the pumpkin patch or pumpkin garden as Ethan was calling it. He had a good time seeing the animals and running through the corn maze. And while Peyton was asleep the whole time I manged to get some photos of her just before we left.

First big holiday and milestone

Thanksgiving was Peyton's first big holiday. This weekend was also the first time she would not be sleeping in her bassinette. I change I have not been taking to well. Peyton is now 18 pounds and 24 inches long! I knew that she would eventually sleep in her crib, but I did not think that it would happen this soon. When Ethan was an infant I could not wait for him to grow and develop his personality, but now the phrase 'They grow up so fast,' haunts me. Everyday I know that she will be different tomorrow, learn how to do something new, and possibly never do something that she had done the day before. We started giving Peyton rice cereal because she was so hungry and not getting enough from me or even formual. Since starting this she feeds from me less, and I found that I miss it much more then I could have known, something that six weeks ago I could not wait for to be over. I enjoyed nursing with her but she was so hungry that I would be feeding her ever hour and a half for 45 minutes at a time. I had thought this was normal until I went to my doctors for my six week check up. He prescribed me something to help this problem and since then things have been great and so easy. But now that things have finally gotten easier Peyton does not need to feed as many times. On the plus side I love watching Ethan play with her, and I have fun playing with both of them. Both Ethan and Peyton are wild but so much fun!

Inspiration - Zooey Deschanel

My current fashion icon that I always like to watch is Zooey Deschanel. She is quirkey and is a vintage fanactic. I fell in love with her more when I heard her say in an interview that she thinks of her closet as a dress museum, and has a hard time letting go of her dresses because of the memories she had wearing them. When I heard that I was so excited because being a dress-a-holic myself I felt a lot less guilty having emotional attachment to some of my dresses that I don't wear to often or at all anymore.

These images I found are from an InStyle photoshoot.

This dress was designed by a local pair of designers! Imaginary Friend.

I have a 12 week old!

I can't believe it, I have made it to the three month mark. After what felt like years of no sleep day or night my baby girl has finally recieved the message that night time is for sleeping. Peyton still cries a lot during the day, but I have feeling its because she is bored and wants to get into Ethan's toys! I don't mind her crying so much during the day as long she continues to sleep the whole night through she can do pretty much whatever she would like during the day! I can't believe how fast she has grown. She is already wearing some six month old clothes and will soon no longer fit in her swing or sling. Next week she will be sleeping in her bassinette for the last time as she is the same length as it now! I never expected to be so shocked at her rapid growth rate given this is not my first baby, but I feel like she is growing fast then Ethan did.

On a side note I came across this link today and would love if everyone could click on it. Pampers and Unicef have teamed up and everytime someone clicks on the link another baby around the world is immunized with a tetnus shot.
