Can I Wear That

I found it fitting to choose to share this outfit post today because of the necklaces. My daughter Peyton has moments where she shows that she has a love for fashion the same way I do. And she also moments where she is not interested in anything unless it is pink. A true five year set of eyes she has. The other day I was getting ready for work and she was looking at my necklace organizer, and I pulled out a little necklace I bought while I was still pregnant with her. I asked her if she wanted to wear the necklace, knowing full well she is not really into jewelry just yet. I was right she said no thank you and then told me I could wear it if I like. She then noticed these two necklaces and asked where they came from. I told Peyton that I had made them, she gave me a little look and then ran to get changed. She came back and proclaimed they would be perfect with her shirt of choice! I found it to be really sweet that wanted to wear them all day. She promised they would come home with her at the end of the day, and they did. And I smiled a little.

Happy Mother's Day to all the Momma's out there!

I feel like I am ready to really try blogging again. I have always loved blogging that the community that comes with it. Maybe later on I will share more about whats been going on in life with me and bumbles but for now, heres a small post. DIY Vintage Inspired Headpiece

Spring is less than a week away! I love spring because its time for fresh and new, and flowers. I love flowers, I currently have two bouquets in my house right now with colourful mixtures of different flowers. I created this head piece about two years ago and love wearing it on those days when I feel I just want to be a little more vintage and a whimsical.

*This post is from another blog I used to run, I have since made a new flower crown, a bride to be stopped me one day and asked where I got my head piece from and after trying to pay me for it, I donated it to her. Was a little strange but she was so happy, and I took that as a compliment.

Bright Lights

I love love love this dress. The look of the print and the fun tulle. This dress gives me that fashion magic feeling and it shows through to the world when I wear it. It has a tendency to be a little bit of a fussy dress, so I only pull it out when I know I am having a care free day, which lately is more often than not.

Sweet Sweet Oxford

This was one of my first attempts at creating a head piece, and its still one of my favorites. I am always happy with how it looks and how it makes me feel. I feel as if I've I could be headed to a sunday wedding in the time wearing fancy head pieces was completely normal. Please ignore the look of me leaf eating, its a hazzard of taking blog photos on your own, but in a way I kind of love the imperfection of these.

Silk and Shorts Style

Summer is here, so thinner and softer fabrics are a staple in my closet at the moment. I have navel piercing that I love. It was my one rebel teenage moment and when I can finding a tasteful way to show it off, I will. For today I chose a soft grey silk blouse with some high waist shorts. This outfit makes me feel as if I am stepping back into the the 60's and headed to a beach party.

My navel ring actually tends to need a little shorter a gauge then what I can find at just a basic body jewelry shop. For a good selection looking at Freshtrends.com makes it easier for me to find my right gauge.

Finish the look off with a fantastic blue bow for a little more personal style, some vintage inspired 1960's cocktail earrings and my rebel teenage look is complete.

Style Remix: Striped Sweater

Being a blogger, everyone assumes that I have a massive closet and I only wear something once then that's it. And its just not true, when I buy something I look at the piece and wonder how many ways can I wear it. I love this sweater, I don't buy a lot of cropped sweaters, but I found ways to make it work for me, even with the horizontal stripes, that I am sure we have all had one family member warn us to stay away from ( for me that was my Gramma )
